Decisions get made near you. Get paid to weigh in.

Councils, TAFEs and state departments pay for the questions on sayso. A few minutes on your phone, and the questions are the real trade-offs — not a satisfaction survey. Then we publish what your answers changed, including the parts that didn't.

Counted from the campaigns on this site. It's an early prototype, so that number is small on purpose.
No screening questions. Whether your answer is relevant comes out of what you say, not out of a filter at the door.Teal names the organisation asking. Always.

How it works

  1. Find something being decided

Real decisions, near you, with a date attached. Not a suggestion box.

  2. See what's fixed before you start

What you can influence, what can't change, who signs it off and when. All of it before the first question.

  3. Make the same trade-off they have to

Split a real budget. Say what you'd give up. Walk a design and say where it fails. Not a scale from one to five.

  4. Get paid

Where a campaign is funded, the money is in your wallet within 5 days. We pay for the work, never for agreeing.

  5. Find out what happened

What changed, what didn't, and why. If they go quiet past the date they set, we publish that too.

Why sayso exists

Streets get designed for thirty years by people who won't be using them in ten.

Consultation happens at 6pm on a Tuesday, in a hall, in language built for planners. That isn't a young-people problem, it's a method problem — and the result is a design signed off on evidence that contains almost nobody who'll live with it. sayso pays for a few minutes on a phone instead, and holds the organisation to publishing what came of it.

A real council survey on a street redesign: 302 people answered, 74 in every 100 were 55 or over, and not one was aged 18 to 24. The street is used by teenagers every afternoon.

It doesn't stop at submit

Every campaign names a date it will report back by. We hold them to it, in public — and the ones that go quiet are shown next to the ones that don't.

Reported back 3 July 2026

Two courses moved to Saturday mornings. The rest stayed put.

What didn't

Nursing and Allied Health stayed on weeknights — the placement roster is fixed by the hospital, not by TAFE.

Ridgeway TAFE, Marrindale
Overdue

Ridgeway City Council said 30 June 2026. Nothing has been published.

What they promised

Council will publish what young people asked for and what made it into the fit-out, by 30 June 2026.

This stays on the record until they publish.
Rewards

Your time is worth money, so we pay for it

Campaigns open now pay $6–$7 for four to seven minutes. The amount and the closing date are on the card before you open it.

We pay for finishing the set, never for agreeing with anyone. An answer is worth the same whatever it says.

Some campaigns aren't funded. Those say so, and they say why.

Trust

What the organisation can and can't see

  • They see your answers, your age band and your postcode area.
  • They never see your name, your email or your exact address.
  • Only verified organisations can run campaigns. Every one is named on the card, before you start.
  • Nothing is sent until you've read it back at the end. You can change any answer up to that point.
