Worked exampleWe built this to show what a campaign looks like from start to finish. The organisations in it are made up, and nobody is collecting your answers for a decision. The amount it says it pays is part of the example. Nobody gets paid for answering it.

Sandpiper Reserve is being replanned for the next ten years.

One reserve, two questions at different stages. The first has no options yet and you are writing them. The second has a list, and it is about which parts of it survive.

Ten years of the reserve are being planned from scratch, and the plan is being written this year.

Testing only · not moderated

Anything another person appears to have written or photographed here was made by us. This campaign uses activities where people read each other's answers. Somebody has to check every one before anyone sees it, for as long as the campaign runs.

We can't staff that yet. Nothing you write reaches anyone, and nothing here came from a real person. What the checking would actually decide is written out at the moderation queue.

Each part says what it can and can't change before it starts, and each one is sent on its own.

Part 1 of 2

What should this reserve be, once the first parts of the plan are built?

Nothing is drawn yet. The master plan — the long-term plan for the whole reserve — is being written this year. The list of things that might go in it does not exist yet. This is where it comes from.

What you can change

  1. 01What the plan says the reserve is for, before any list of projects exists
  2. 02Which parts of the reserve as it is now the plan is told to protect
  3. 03What the reserve is for outside daylight hours, which the current plan does not mention

What Ridgeway City Council has already decided

  • That there is a master plan at all. The law requires one.
  • The reserve's boundary. The land either side is private and not for sale.
  • That anything in it is paid for. A master plan is a list of intentions, not a budget.

What you'll do

  1. 1Put yourself in the future, and write what you're doing
  2. 2A few quick questions about you
  3. 3Write one idea, then score 4 written by other people
  4. 4Then the shortlist — 3 more minutes

Timeline and impact

  • You hear back by 26 February 2027
  • Not funded yet. No money is attached to this yet. What you say helps make the case for funding; what actually happens depends on future budgets.
Who this is for
